Hi there!
We are Melissa & Brandon, the new owners of Casa Barotti, along with our dad Pepe and my sister-in-law Elaine. Casa Barotti was born out of passion for simple, wholesome and handmade food. As we inherit that dream, our culinary journey brings new inspiration to this restaurant.
Our mother.
She was an amazing cook with one purpose in mind when it came to food: anything made from scratch that were full of nutrients, vegetables, and protein was good for your body and soul.
Just before her passing we went on a beautiful trip to Italy to visit family in the Veneto region, and traveled to Venice, Rome, Florence, and Verona. It was notably now and forever an unforgettable moment in our lives. It was the happiest I had ever seen my mom. We enjoyed delicious food & wine in every single place we went to, and nostalgically compared their rituals to our own. We saw in the culture, the food and the lifestyle of how Peru had been influenced by Italian cuisine and culture.
Our family comes from Peru.
A country known for its top culinary destination and having several restaurants in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2024. We are generations of mixed cultures and ethnicities, having Italian, Spanish, African and Peruvian heritage from our mother’s side, to a mixture of Chinese and Peruvian from our father’s side. My brother & I grew up eating everything, not that we had a choice, my mother insisted on feeding us the most nutrient dense food. With all their dreams pushing us forward we strive to do the same for others. To bring our own authenticity to the table filled with fresh and delicious Italo-Peruano food.
Everything you find at Casa Barotti is everything we love to eat ourselves.
Benvenuti a Tutti!
